This is a photo that I took of my cousin for his birthday. I enjoy this photo because of the emotion, fundamentals, and lastly the motion. The emotion in the photo is amazing, he is doing something that he truly loves, and you can tell from his face. Secondly, the black and white photo has max black and max white. Lastly, the motion within the photo makes it looks more interesting. I think I could improve this photo by making the cropping tighter, but the loose cropping lets the image breathe.

This photo was taken by Deanna. I think this photo is great due to the composition, focus, and lighting. The composition is great because the dog is clearly made as the main subject of the photo because there are no distractions in the background. Secondly, the focus is really sharp, therefore taking all the attention to the intended place. Lastly the lighting, although subtle, brings dimension to the photo.
This is a photo that I took of my sister. I like it for the lighting, and idea. The light from behind helps create her silhouette, I really enjoy this effect. I also like that I was able to come up with the idea of making her silhouette the star of the photo. However, I could have fixed the tilt or angle of the camera for a better, more dramatic affect.
This is a photo of my shower head. I enjoy this photo for the fundamentals of black and white, focus, and lighting. My black and white photo has both, max black as well as max white. It also has fairly amazing focus, although the background is a bit fuzzy, it focuses on the main purpose of the photo. Lastly, the light coming in through the window is perfect because it is not too loud or overly bright.
This is a photo edit that I did of my sister. I enjoy the edit for the creativity. I purposefully put things that represent her, and what she likes. The edit was complicated to make and I used many of the different features on Photoshop. I enjoy this edit because it really represents my sister.
This is a photo that I took of the clouds about two days ago. I enjoy this photo because the lighting, focus, and composition. I enjoy the lighting because it is nice, elegant, and crisp golden. The focus, although a bit soft, gives the photo emotion. Lastly the composition, how the two buildings frame the sky is also very unique and pleasing, aesthetically speaking.
This photo was taken by portrait photographer, Diane Arbus. I enjoy this image for the fundamentals, lighting, ad composition. First of all, the photo has max black, as well as max white, therefore, making it truly a black and white image. Secondly the lighting coming in through the trees, lights up the image nicely. Lastly, the composition she did, having the little boy smile, really gave the whole photo a funny character.
This is a photo that I took of my little sister in the car. I enjoy this photo for the focus, lighting, and the fundamentals of a black and white photo. The focus is sharp, but not too soft, and lets the image breath by being a tad soft. The lighting is nice, the way it shines on the face from an angle that you cannot physically see. I also enjoy how it lights up her face. Lastly, my black and white image has both max black and max white.
This photo was taken my documentary photographer, Walker Evans. I enjoy this photo because of the use of fundamentals, lighting, focus, and composition. First off, his photo has both max black and max white, which is an excellent use of fundamentals. Secondly the natural lighting that he uses brings a natural feel or characteristic to the whole image. His focus is also very nice and sharp, lastly the composition he used is stunning. He lets us take in all these lines on both houses, without distracting you from the image as a whole.
