This photo was taken by William Wegman, When you see this photo you can already tell that it was taken by a professional. This photo is great for three reasons. Reason number one is the composition. William composed this photo in such a unique way, where you can see the dog, but you can also see it's reflection, very artsy. In addition the lighting is staged, which lets Wegman manipulate it, which gives the image this feel. And lastly the focus is sharp which really brings the whole photo together.

This is a photo that I took on an airplane. The focus of this image is really sharp, you can see my brother's facial expressions clearly. In addition, although the focus is great, the lighting and angle are where this image falls short. The light in this photo is coming from two places, those places being the two windows. This makes him light up from behind as well as from the side, meaning there is too much light. In addition to this, the angle is tilted, this makes the viewer confused. I took this photo of a Dumbo plush at Disney Land. The focus of the photo is mediocre, but the main focal point of the picture is clear.; The background is not too distracting, just the fence in the back makes the image look off, and weird. the lighting of this photo would have to be half lit. I would classify it as half lit, only because half of the stuffed animal is lit, while the bottom portion of it is not. All in all, I kind of enjoy this photo and the adorable main focus of it. This is a photo of a cactus at my church. The focus of this image is really sharp, letting the viewer see the image, as if it were right there in front of them, literally. In addition, The front lit lighting allows the cactus' colors to really pop. This gives the whole photo a more lively, and vibrant feel. Overall I am very pleased with how this photo turned out, it looks very focused, and the colors are beautiful. I took this photo of the ocean from the pier at Imperial Beach. I really enjoy the composition of this photo. The golden lighting also adds a very nice touch to the beach feel I was going for. In addition, the angle is kind of confusing, but it is not crooked, so you still have a clear view of the image. The people in the water also add that finishing touch to the picture that makes it feel whole.
This photo was taken by Annie Leibovitz. I really enjoy the composition of this photo and the lighting. Although it is staged lighting, Annie captures the photo in such a way that makes it feel as if it were not staged. In addition, the angle that she chose made for an overall terrific kiddy feel. I believe Annie is a master of portraits, and this beautiful photo is proof due to the lighting, composition, the way the colors pop, and the overall feel of this picture.
This photo was taken by Deanna. I really enjoy the composition of this photo, and how she chose to include so many different kinds of candy. In addition the front lighting of this photo allows you to fully see the complete image. In addition, it does follow the rule of thirds. Overall a super cool, and nice photo.
This is a photo that I took of some flowers growing in front of my grandma's yard. I really enjoy this photo that I took because of the front lit lighting, which allows you to get a clear, and strong view of the main focus of the image. Other than that, I love how nature somehow knew I was going to take this photo, it looks like the first flower is closed, and as you go down, the flower opens up. I found that super cool, and thought that it told a story.
This photo was taken by Deanna Converse. This photo has a very good composition. I would say that the lighting is either front lighting or side lighting. The one thing that could have made this photo better, would have to be that, I wish the focus was sharper on the butterfly. Other than that, I am really impressed with how she caught this butterfly on this orange, I know documenting nature can be a pretty tough thing to do.
This photo was taken by Deanna Converse. When you look at this photo, the number one thing you notice is the lake, then your attention is drawn to the tree, and lastly the snow covered rock. The lighting in this photo is simply magnificent. I would have to say that it is somewhere between half lit, and 3/4 lit. The background is the lake, the mid ground is the trees, and the foreground is the rock. The overall composition of this piece is amazing, it looks like it could be straight from a page in National Geographic.
