This is a photo that I took of my little sister. I really enjoy this photo because of the composition, lighting, and color. First off, I enjoy the composition because you can see the emotion in her face, as well as the way the glasses are tilted. This gives the image character. Secondly the lighting, that is coming from above let's you see her face clearly. However the glare in the glasses takes away from the image. Lastly the colors, the pink in her leggings and her shirt contrast with the white wall to give the image this nice look. I think I could have improved on the focus, it is blurry and this takes away from the image.
This is a photo that I took of a rose. I primarily enjoy it for three reasons, the lighting, the focus, and the colors. first off the lighting coming from both above, and behind the rose, let you see the flower clearly as well as lighting it up nicely. secondly the focus is nice, and sharp, this brings out the dimension in the leaves and the flower petals. Lastly the colors look amazing with each other. For example, the pink in the rose contrasts and pops out with the green in the stem, this then allows the flower to come away from it's blurry and muddy background. This photo was taken by Diana Kim, a full time lawyer and part time photographer, as well as a homeless advocate. I enjoy this image because of the lighting, filter, and focus. The lighting coming in from the side of the photo make you see the focus of the image, as well as lighting up the emotion in his face. The filter then brings a certain atmosphere to this image, making you feel a certain type of emotion while looking at this image. Lastly the focus is amazing, you can see his face clearly, as well as his current state. One are where I think she could have improved was her composition, mostly due to the fact that there is a lot of space in this photo and my attention shifts from the main focus to the DIRECTV ad on the bill board behind him.
This is a photo that I took of a little Mickey Tsum Tsum on Sunday night. I enjoy this picture for three main reasons, the focus, the composition, and the overall feel of the piece. The focus is pretty good, in my opinion, you can see the pumpkin light, and the Mickey clearly. The composition of Mickey being on the pumpkin, was a good idea, however this hurts my lighting of the piece, therefore making it look very dark. Lastly the feel of the piece, it feels very complete, from the colors and the focus, it gives me the Halloween vibe I was hoping for. This is a photo that I took of my tia's dog on the 16th of October. I really enjoy this photo for the composition, motion, color contrast, lighting, and focus. The composition that I set up of Fluffy on the chair gives this image a really nice look. The motion of her licking her nose, also contributes to what I was trying to capture. The white of her fur, contrasts with the chair, as well as the background. The lighting is also very nice, coming in from the top and side. Lastly, the focus is sharp, and you can see her clearly.
This is a photo that I took of a rose on the 16th of October. I like this photo due to the color contrast, focus, unity, and the composition. The pink color of the rose contrasts well with the brown cabinets in the background and the green stem of the flower. The focus is nice and sharp, which looks really nice. All the pieces of this image really come together to give this piece a sense of unity. Lastly, the composition, how the rose is placed and how the background looks.
This is a photo that I took of my brother when I did his make up. I enjoy this photo because it looks like a fine art piece. The focus, lighting, and composition of this photo really make it look real and awesome, in my opinion. The focus is on his face, which holds all the emotion. The lighting is somewhat dark but light, this brings along with it a nice sense of completeness. Lastly the composition is great, everything comes together in unity. Overall one of my favorite photos I have ever taken.
